To adress a long annoying left-right difference I have removed the diaphragms of my 802 (-808? only one has a 802-8d sticker) drivers. They turned out to be different :-(. One has several markings on it and a voicecoil that is red in colour and the other one is unmarked save for an L1 on the topside of the diapgrams mounting and has an bare aluminium look.
The unmarked diaphragm has a dc resistance of 9.4 ohmn and the marked one 7.8 ohms. This makes neither a 8 ohm nor a 16 ohm impedance.
Can anyone enlighten me about these diaphragms?
Furthermore I would like to have two of the same diaphragms in 8 ohms (hifi use @ home). What should I do, buy a GPA aluminium ones?

Pics of the front and rear of both phragms will be worth pages of text.
5 digit numbers beginning with a 2 or 3 could also be quite relevant.
You could have a 8 and a 16 ohm diaphragm.The red colored one sounds like a symbiotik diaphragm.Your best bet is to get the 34647 all aluminum diaphragms from GPA.
As Bowtie has mentioned pictures will go a long way for Folks to get an idea on exactly what you have.The mismatched sound output is a dead give away that you may have mismatched diaphragms.
